Networking for fun and profit!

Networking is a necessary skill in most professions. The problem is, no one tells you how to do it. They just say, "go network". I can coach and teach you how to successfully network, but one critical component is showing up. Join groups, if you are comfortable presenting offer to present a mini clinic or give a talk on your area of expertise. Ask someone who is standing alone some engaging questions. Get people to talk about themselves by asking what they would do if they could do anything. Once the door is open, it is easier than you might think.
