Recruiting the Right Candidates-a Brief Primer

It is important to pay close attention to your application and recruiting process. If you are a small company and finding difficulty with recruiting the right candidates, it may be your process. Have someone outside the business search for a job with you and apply. Listen to their feedback. Are you easy to find in the markets from which you seek employees? Is your application process streamlined, short, simple, and providing you with all of the information you need? If your website is complicated, your application process unclear or timing out, this may limit your prospects. When jobs are plentiful, people are less willing to invest the time to go through a lengthy application process when they can go elsewhere more easily. A long, complicated application will limit the diversity of candidates you attract.
